Bengaluru-based ride hailing startup viaDOTS plans to onboard 50,000 cab drivers

 The company claims zero onboarding fees for drivers and assures passengers of no surge pricing

Bengaluru-based ride-hailing startup viaDOTS on December 19 said that it plans to onboard 50,000 taxi drivers by Q1 in 2024.

"The company has already brought on board 5,000 drivers within the first two months of operations in Bengaluru," it stated in a press release.

Company officials said that there will be no onboarding fee for now and they also assured that there will be no surge pricing, and the fare structure will be: Mini - Rs 18/Km, Sedan - Rs 21/Km, SUV - Rs 30/Km, and Premium - Rs 40/Km.

"The brand primarily aims to be a driver-run platform, focusing on acknowledging the driver as the owner of their own business," the statement added.
