Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) on October 17 assured representatives of industrial associations within its jurisdiction to provide uninterrupted power supply to industries.
In a video conference meeting chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary of Energy Department Gaurav Gupta, with representatives from large, medium, and small-scale industrial associations, it was stated that there is no need to panic about power supply.
Unscheduled power cuts have adversely impacted production in manufacturing units that are preparing to meet the demands of the festive season.

The statement noted, "Representatives of industrial bodies expressed concerns about potential disruptions in industrial activities due to a power production shortage in the state."
"However, Gupta and BESCOM Managing Director Mahantesh Bilagi reassured the industrial bodies that there is no need to panic. BESCOM has made all necessary arrangements to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the industrial areas within its jurisdiction," it said.
The meeting was attended by representatives from various industrial associations, including those from Peenya, Bidadi, Hoskote, Electronics City, Kumbalgodu, Malur, Nelamangala, Dabaspet, Davangere, Tumakuru, Kolar, Gauribidanur, Whitefield, and Herohalli, it added.
