Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has once again proved her sartorial dominance at the Tira Beauty store launch in Mumbai. The Bollywood diva graced the event in a timeless vintage ensemble from Yves Saint Laurent’s Fall/Winter 2002 collection, designed by the legendary Tom Ford. This striking outfit reaffirmed Kareena’s status as a fashion trailblazer, blending classic elegance with modern glamour.

Kareena’s outfit was a quintessential showcase of Tom Ford’s signature aesthetic — bold yet sophisticated. The ensemble featured a ruffled, off-shoulder silk top that exuded drama with its puffed sleeves, plunging neckline, and buttoned cuffs. The blouse’s ruffled hemline and satin bow string accents further amplified its grandeur. Paired with the top was a sleek, body-hugging pencil skirt in matching black silk. The skirt, with its crinkled texture and subtle back slit, was a perfect complement to the structured elegance of the blouse.
Kareena’s stylist, Rhea Kapoor, added just the right amount of sparkle to the monochromatic ensemble. The highlight was a 42.55-carat Colombian emerald necklace encircled by 83.14 carats of old mine-cut diamonds, a masterpiece from G.K. Chudi Walas. Matching solitaire and emerald-studded earrings by Mahesh Notandass and Vandals, alongside a stunning emerald cocktail ring by Renu Oberoi, completed the look. Kareena’s iconic wedding solitaire ring added a personal touch of timeless charm.

The actress opted for see-through black mesh stockings and Christian Louboutin pointed-toe stilettos, adding a sultry edge to her classic ensemble. Her hair, styled in side-parted waves by framed her face beautifully and makeup with bronzed highlights, shimmery eyeshadow, defined brows, and a nude lip, perfectly complemented the dramatic outfit.

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s choice of vintage Yves Saint Laurent not only showcased her appreciation for fashion history but also underscored her ability to bring a fresh perspective to iconic designs. The Fall/Winter 2002 collection, created during Tom Ford’s tenure at Yves Saint Laurent, is celebrated for its opulent silhouettes and dramatic flair. Her ode to vintage fashion was done right with combination of an iconic design, luxurious accessories, and her homage to vintage couture reminded us of the enduring power of classic fashion, making her the undisputed queen of style yet again. Recycling vintage clothes has emerged as a leading trend in fashion, championed by sustainability advocates and style icons alike.
