Bollywood icon Kareena Kapoor made a striking appearance at the 25th anniversary celebration of Lakmé Fashion Week on March 30, setting the tone for the evening with a show-stopping entrance.
The actor, who has been closely associated with Lakmé throughout her career, was chosen to open the red carpet, marking a significant moment in the event’s history. Styled by Rhea Kapoor, Kareena exuded elegance in a custom-designed Manish Malhotra ensemble that left the internet in awe.

Taking to social media, Kareena shared a glimpse of her evening, expressing her excitement about reuniting with Lakmé for this milestone event.
"Tonight was special… celebrating 25 years of Lakmé Fashion Week and being back home… as the Lakmé Girl!" she wrote. "Lakmé has been a big part of my journey for as long as I can remember, and being part of this milestone is truly an honor. When we come together, iconic things happen. ️"

A vision in ivory
For the occasion, Kareena Kapoor donned an ethereal ivory lehenga saree, a signature Manish Malhotra creation that seamlessly blended tradition with contemporary elegance.
The ensemble featured: A heavily embellished blouse adorned with glittering sequins, delicate embroidery, a plunging neckline, and a cropped, structured bodice. A statement lehenga with a pleated tulle overlay, intricate floral embroidery, sequin embellishments, crystal adornments, and a floor-length hemline. A tulle dupatta with floral appliqué, lace embroidery, and shimmering sequins, styled like a saree pallu and draped over one shoulder, creating the illusion of a cape jacket.
The soft, feminine aesthetic of the ensemble made it a perfect inspiration for wedding season attire, blending timeless craftsmanship with a modern silhouette.
To complement the ensemble, Kareena and Rhea Kapoor opted for minimal yet statement-making accessories, including: a glittering diamond choker, matching diamond earrings and two statement rings.
For her beauty look, Kareena kept it classic with a touch of glamour. She wore her hair sleek and center-parted, while her makeup featured defined brows, a soft smoky eye, mascara-coated lashes, flushed cheeks, luminous highlighter, a soft pink lip, and light contouring.
