Karan Kundrra, who was last seen in Laughter Chefs 2, opened up about his impressive weight loss, sharing that he has shed 12 kg in the span of just a month. And how did the actor lose all the extra kilos? By simply going back to the ‘basics’.
The actor in a chat with ETimes revealed, “I went back to the basics and to what we were taught through the generations. I eat ghee. I am not following intermittent fasting, but observing traditional vrats (fasts).”
He realised quickly enough that Indian body type and genetics are way different from Western or Mediterranean ones. Hence, he chose to return to his roots and culture, and it thankfully worked.

Talking about the importance of staying fit, Karan candidly admitted, “At the end of the day, nothing is going to last: not fame, not money, not success. It’s only going to be your health. And so many things are happening around. As you grow older, the sense of responsibility grows.”
The actor shared that he has ageing parents to look after. Additionally, when he gets married, he will also have more responsibilities. Hence, health is a top priority for him. He added that he is basically drawing from his culture, such as fasting, to stay away from issues like diabetes, heart problems, and cancer.
While Karan refrained from mentioning the number of hours he fasts, he said the idea is more about eating right. He also cited different religions and their concepts of fasting, which he noted are backed by science.
