Hollywood star Bruce Willis’ health woes don’t seem to be improving, according to a report in The Express. The actor, who has delivered knockout performances in films like Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, and The Sixth Sense, has reportedly become non-verbal and is facing mobility issues.
Reportedly, the 70-year-old’s health has been steadily deteriorating, and he is unable to speak or walk.
Bruce Willis’ Health Struggles
In March 2022, Bruce Willis stepped away from acting following a diagnosis of aphasia, a neurological disorder that impedes a person’s ability to communicate. Almost a year later, his family shared an updated statement confirming he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) - a progressive brain disorder that affects behaviour, language, and personality.

In April 2025, the actor’s condition was declared to be stable, until the recent sighting reported by The Express that suggested otherwise.
What is Frontotemporal Dementia?
Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) is a rare condition caused by disorders affecting the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, which are associated with personality, behaviour and language.
According to Healthline, the symptoms of FTD can vary depending on which part of the brain is affected. They may include speech difficulties, comprehension problems, and personality changes, which in turn affect social and emotional behaviour.
While there is no cure, treatment focuses on managing symptoms and improving the patient’s quality of life.
Bruce Willis’ family, including his wife Emma Heming Willis, ex-wife Demi Moore, and their children, are now actively working to spread awareness about this rare condition through their social media platforms.
His daughter Rumer previously posted on social media: “I wish I had asked you more questions while you could still tell me about it all. I can still hold you and hug you... I’ll try to just be grateful.” From processing the news of the diagnosis to learning how to live with it, her words reflect the difficult times the family has gone through.
