Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man brought a storm among Marvel fans soon after its debut on Disney Plus. Season 1 has recently wrapped up and the fans of Web-slinger already demanding a sequel. However, Marvel has recently delighted the viewers with the latest update on the animated series.
After months of anticipation, Marvel has finally confirmed Season 2 and Season 3 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. The animated web series is under production process and fans have to a bit more for the new installments.
During a recent The Movie Podcast appearance, Marvel producer Brad Winderbaum revealed that the show has been renewed for two additional seasons and that work on the second is already progressing at pace. He expressed his love for the animated characters and shared, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters.” He added, “And also, I've read all the scripts for season 2, we're halfway through the animatics – what Jeff [Trammell, showrunner] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off."
He also teased about the upcoming season and said, “You feel it in season 1, you grow connected to these characters, so when everything starts to lock in and pay off by the end of the season... I don't know about you guys, but I feel it really in my soul." He continued in the podcast, “And it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons.”
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man left the viewers with a major cliffhanger leaving the viewers fueling multiple plot theories. The upcoming instalment is speculated to be released in 2026 and stars Hudson Thames as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man. The upcoming series also features, Kari Wahlgren, Grace Song, Eugene Byrd, Zeno Robinson, Colman Domingo, Hugh Dancy and Charlie Cox in key roles. Meanwhile, the other details are kept under wraps.
