Urmila Matondkar has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband of eight years, Mohsin Akhtar Mir. Their marriage, which took place on February 4, 2016, had made headlines for various reasons, including being an interfaith union and the 10-year age gap between the couple.Despite a relationship that initially seemed strong, the couple’s nearly decade-long marriage has come to an unfortunate end. While the exact reasons behind their split remain unclear, sources from a Mumbai court have confirmed the divorce filing, though it does not appear to be on mutual terms.

Urmila and Mohsin's love story began at a high-profile wedding in 2014, when they first met at designer Manish Malhotra’s niece’s nuptials. Urmila, a well-established actress in Bollywood, and Mohsin, a businessman and model from Kashmir, quickly formed a connection. In 2016, they celebrated their marriage in a private and intimate ceremony, with only close friends and family in attendance. Despite their quiet wedding, their union drew attention due to its interfaith nature, Urmila being a Hindu and Mohsin a Muslim, and the notable age difference between them.
