Mahhi Vij has been hospitalised in Mumbai after reportedly suffering from a high fever and severe weakness, her team confirmed on Thursday. The development comes even as Mahhi continues to face intense public speculation surrounding her marriage with husband Jay Bhanushali.

According to reports, Mahhi’s publicist Avantika Sinha confirmed the news of her hospitalisation, stating, “Yes, she has high fever and extreme weakness and has just been admitted to the hospital. Earlier in the day, Mahhi had taken to Instagram Stories to share a glimpse of her condition. Wrapped in warm clothes and looking visibly unwell, she posted a picture of her medication with the simple caption, “Sick.” Fans and friends flooded her DMs and comment sections with heartfelt “get well soon” messages.

The actor, who rose to fame with Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Balika Vadhu, has recently been in the headlines for her separation from Jay Bhanushali. Reports claimed that the couple had signed divorce papers between July and August 2025 but continue to co-parent their daughter Tara and their two foster children.

Amid growing speculation, Mahhi addressed the rumours head-on, urging the public to respect their privacy. She said, “Please don’t believe any news till I say it myself. Respect our privacy and our children’s privacy. Jay is my family and will always be my family. He’s a wonderful father and a wonderful human being.”
