With judges Navjot Singh Sidhu, Malaika Arora, and Shaan, the latest season of Sony TV's India's Got Talent captivates viewers with tales and talents from all over the nation. Anu Malik, a well-known vocalist and music composer, will be a guest judge on the next episode.
Anu Malik talks about his musical path and takes a trip down memory lane during one of the concerts.
A powerful performance of the song "Julie Julie" by a dance company from Kolkata called 8 Wonders creates this unique moment. Anu Malik, affected by their performance and the sentimental song selection, pauses deeply to tell a personal tale related to the song.
Filmibeat cited Anu Malik as saying, "Julie Julie was my first-ever song," when discussing how Mithun Chakraborty influenced his singing career.
“The movie was Jeete Hain Shaan Se, and I was only 19 or 20 at the time. I wrote the song, but the director told me to "make a rough draft for now" since Kishore da and Amit Kumar were unable to perform it. Mithun da inquired, "Who has sung it?" after hearing it and falling in love. It will be dubbed later, according to the director. However, Mithun da responded, "No, the song will remain in the same person's voice, and he wanted me to sing all the songs, and that's how Mithun Chakraborty launched me as a singer; all credits go to him," he added.
