According to Hindustan Times, Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, and Anup Jalota believe that the essence of Triveni lies in its focus on the artistry and depth of Indian music. Including Bollywood stars, who are primarily known for their acting and dance performances, would detract from this core purpose. The singers emphasised that if guest performers were to be included, they should be fellow musicians who align with the spirit of the concert and contribute to its musical excellence.

A source close to the organisers mentioned, “Their aim is to keep the spotlight on the music and ensure the artistic integrity of the event.”
