Superstar Rajinikanth, who was recently admitted to a private hospital in Chennai, is expected to be discharged on Friday, as confirmed by the medical team attending to him. Rajinikanth was taken to Apollo Hospital earlier this week due to swelling in a blood vessel that connects to his heart. He underwent a non-surgical procedure called transcatheter treatment to address the issue. The procedure was performed by senior interventional cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish, who placed a stent in the aorta, successfully sealing off the swelling through a process known as Endovascular Repair.
Initially, it was reported that Rajinikanth would be discharged on Thursday. However, the doctors have now stated that he will be leaving the hospital on Friday. The hospital’s statement assures that the actor is in stable condition and doing well post-surgery. His medical team also thanked his fans and well-wishers for their support and concern during this period.
Rajinikanth’s health has been a matter of public concern in recent years. In 2020, he was admitted to a private hospital due to fluctuations in his blood pressure, which led to a brief hospitalization and a month-long rest period. In 2021, he also underwent a carotid artery revascularization procedure. Despite these health challenges, Rajinikanth has continued to work on various film projects and remains an active figure in the industry.
The news of Rajinikanth’s hospitalization and recovery has drawn significant attention, with several prominent figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, reaching out to wish him a speedy recovery. His upcoming film “Vettaiyan,” directed by T.J. Gnanavel, is set to release on October 10 and marks another highly anticipated project in the Tamil film industry. The movie will also feature legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, making his debut in Tamil cinema, alongside Malayalam actress Manju Warrier and other notable stars like Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, and Abhirami.
With Rajinikanth’s health stabilizing and his movie’s release date approaching, fans are eagerly looking forward to his return. The song “Manasilayo,” composed by Anirudh Ravichandran and featuring Rajinikanth and Manju Warrier, has already gone viral, adding to the excitement surrounding the film.
