Kim Soo Hyun faces new speculation

The controversy surrounding South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun’s past relationship with actress Kim Sae Ron has taken another unexpected turn, now drawing in his late Real co-star, Sulli. The issue escalated after a cryptic social media post by Sulli’s elder brother, Choi Dae Hee, sparked speculation among netizens.

In a post on the online community TheQoo, Choi wrote, “Mr. Kim, I have a lot to say, but I can’t. You’re going to fall from your high position, so you better hold on tight." Though he did not explicitly name anyone, fans quickly linked the statement to Kim Soo Hyun, given the ongoing controversy surrounding his past with Kim Sae Ron. Many also speculated whether the late Sulli was indirectly referenced in the message.

As the post went viral, Choi Dae Hee responded with another statement clarifying his stance. Addressing the backlash and the influx of comments from fans, he directly mentioned Kim Soo Hyun, saying, “How is it that the so-called ‘fans’ are the ones being the least helpful? I didn’t even mention Soo Hyun’s name, and yet people came swarming in instantly. Must be driving you crazy too, not being able to fact-check anything, right?"

Choi further emphasised that he had been holding back for years and did not intend to add more trouble for the Queen of Tears star. “There will be plenty of others giving him a hard time. And even if I speak up, it wouldn’t become fact anyway—and it wouldn’t help any of you, either. So maybe just don’t poke the bear and move along," he stated, as reported by Koreaboo.
