Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor was one of those who paid respects, posting a very intimate message on social media in his memory.

Sharing a throwback photograph alongside the maestro, Sonam wrote simply yet movingly: “Thank you, Mr Armani, you will be missed.” The words carried the weight of her admiration, as she had once been invited to Armani’s grand celebration in Paris — an event marking four decades of his transformative work in fashion.
