Following the recent shooting incident outside Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai, heightened security measures have been implemented for Shah Rukh Khan.
Shah Rukh Khan, was recently in the city for an IPL match where his team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) first played against Lucknow Giants and then Rajasthan Royals at Eden Gardens, has returned to Mumbai last night.
The actor was surrounded by many security guards as he walked inside the airport.
In a video circulated online from inside the airport, we can see SRK walking with his team and then following all the procedures at the security check gate.
While leaving Kolkata, SRK was surrounded by his team of security but King Khan did wave to the waiting fans and paparazzi before getting inside his car.
Earlier too during his stay in the city, Shah Rukh did not leave his hotel until there was any match of his team.
The Kolkata Police, while not officially commenting on the details, have significantly increased security at both his hotel and the stadium. Sources suggest that even a dog squad, including dogs named Delly, Daisy, Payal, Coral, and Shera, was deployed to bolster his security, particularly during movements to and from the stadium.
An anonymous senior official from Kolkata Police highlighted the necessity of such measures, especially given Shah Rukh’s international fame. “Shah Rukh Khan is an international figure. When stars of his calibre visit Kolkata, we ensure heightened security. The recent incident at Salman Khan's house has led us to take even more stringent measures to ensure Shah Rukh's safety,” said the official.
Additionally, sources from the Kolkata Police headquarters at Lalbazar mentioned that Shah Rukh already has a personal security team that travels with him. However, the local administration is also tasked with providing additional security during his visits to ensure his safety.
The shooting outside Salman Khan's residence has not only stirred concerns for his safety but also for other Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan.
The decision to enhance Shah Rukh’s security and the deployment of the dog squad are preventive measures aimed at averting any potential threats that might arise in light of recent events.
