He also made it clear that his wife had always known about it. In a recent interview on Vanitha's YouTube channel, the veteran actor talked about his long marriage, his affair, and the mutual understanding that has been the basis of his relationship with his wife throughout the years. Janardhanan remarked of his relationship with his wife, "I've known her since I was a child."

As a child, I was quite close to her. I was stubborn, and even if others didn't agree, I married her. My wife, who went to school in Delhi, speaks both Hindi and English well. She has always been graceful and attractive. The actor said during the interview that his affair lasted 18 years and that his wife knew about it, but she didn't like it.

"My wife knew about the affair, but she didn't like it.
She decided to change because she trusted me. She has known me since we were kids. My wife stopped being interested in being close to me, which led to the affair. "I was only human," he said. "I did everything I could, but I was drawn to someone else." Janardhanan also said that the woman he was with ended the relationship because she was worried about how it would affect her family's reputation.
