Keerthy Suresh has achieved another remarkable milestone in her inspiring journey as has now officially joined UNICEF as their Celebrity Advocate for Children in India.
With this, she becomes part of a distinguished group of Indian advocates, including Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Kareena Kapoor Khan — all of whom have contributed towards UNICEF’s mission of promoting child welfare.
Sharing the happy news with her fans, Keerthy expressed her gratitude and excitement for taking on this new role. “Hi everyone, I’m truly honoured to join UNICEF as their Celebrity Advocate for Children in India. This means a lot to me because every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy, to learn, to dream big, and simply to be a child. For the past 76 years in India, UNICEF has been working tirelessly to make that possible.
They’ve been collaborating with the government and various partners to ensure that children have access to education, healthcare, protection, and opportunities to flourish. I’m so happy to now be part of this important mission.”
Admired for her humility and deep empathy, Keerthy said she hopes to use her platform to spread awareness and support for children’s rights. “As someone who strongly believes in compassion and equality, I want to use my voice to shed light on the challenges children face — especially those whose stories often go unheard — and to encourage collective action in building a nurturing environment for them,” she shared.
Looking ahead, the actress said she is excited to engage directly with children and their families. “I can’t wait to meet children and communities, learn from their experiences, and share their stories. Together, we can create a world where every child feels safe, supported, and seen. Thank you, UNICEF India, for trusting me with this responsibility. I’m eager to start this journey. For every child, everywhere,” she concluded warmly.
Regarding his career, Keerthy has a stellar filmography that includes Thottam, Akka, Revolver Rita, an untitled project with director Mysskin, and another with Vijay Deverakonda.
According to reports, she and Rajkummar Rao are working together on a future movie. Keerthy demonstrates once more that her impact extends well beyond the film industry with this new chapter as UNICEF's advocate, using her voice and empathy to advocate for children and spur constructive change.
