The Varanasi (GlobeTrotter) event transformed into a star-studded spectacle as popular YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani co-hosted the lavish event that revealed the title and teaser of SS Rajamouli's upcoming cinematic epic, which stars Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
In addition to the first glimpse of the eagerly awaited movie, the celebration caused a stir on social media due to the touching fusion of the digital and cinematic realms.
One of India's most popular content creators, Ashish Chanchlani, who is known for his relatability and sense of humour, brought his distinct charm to the stage. Throughout the evening, his contagious enthusiasm captivated both the in-person and virtual audiences.
However, what really won over fans' hearts was what transpired backstage. After the event, Ashish shared a candid picture with superstar Mahesh Babu, captioning it with genuine admiration:
“Absolute legend with an unbeatable aura! Now I get why fans love you so much @urstrulyMahesh garu #JaiBabu”
With thousands of likes and comments praising the two celebrities' respect for one another, the picture and caption went viral right away.
The event itself carried a sense of grandeur and emotion — a North-meets-South fusion that united industry giants and creative powerhouses. The evening saw the presence of names like SS Rajamouli, MM Keeravaani, Bhushan Kumar, Namrata Shirodkar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Supriya Menon, KV Vijayendra Prasad, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas — all coming together to celebrate Indian cinema’s growing global reach.
As excitement was building, SS Rajamouli revealed Mahesh Babu's initial appearance as Rudhra. Fans were immediately enamoured with his commanding presence. A sweeping adventure full of emotion, myth, and intense action—all characteristics of Rajamouli's storytelling—was promised in the teaser.
Speaking about the project, Rajamouli opened up about his inspiration from the Ramayana, calling it a lifelong dream to adapt episodes from the timeless epic. He shared that when Mahesh Babu appeared for the photoshoot in Lord Rama’s look, “it gave him goosebumps.”
