Ranbir Kapoor starrer and Nitesh Tiwari directorial upcoming historical saga, Ramayana, has recently created a buzz among the fans with the latest update. The film has been officially certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
According to the reports by Pinkvilla, the viewers can soon expect the 2-minute 36-second 3d title announcement video. The video, titled TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT - RAMAYANA 3D, has officially received ‘U’ rating by the CBFC on May 5.
The recent title announcement of Ramayana has sparked excitement among audiences, hinting that promotions will soon kick off. Despite the teaser still being unreleased, fans are already eagerly anticipating the project.
Meanwhile, Ramayana has already received praise from Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis. During the star-studded Waves Summit 2025 event in Mumbai, he revealed that he recently visited the film’s set and was left stunned by the quality of the production.
The film was initially announced in November 2024 by Namit Malhotra, who is producing the film. He also shared the first poster of the film with the release date.
The upcoming film features an ensemble cast. Ranbir Kapoor will star as Ram, actress Sai Pallavi will portray the role of Sita, KGF-famed Yash will play the role of Ravana, and Sunny Deol will reportedly star as Hanuman.
Ramayana is scheduled to be released in two parts. The first instalment of the film will be released in Diwali 2026, the second part will hit the theatres in 2027 in Diwali. The upcoming film is based on the ancient Indian epic saga of the Ramayana.
