Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri are set to share the screen for the first time in Raaj Shaandilyaa's highly anticipated comedy Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. The newly released trailer has already sparked excitement, offering a nostalgic glimpse into the 90s.
The film, humorously described as "97% parivarik" and "3% maha parivarik," revolves around a couple, Vicky and Vidya, who get married in 1997. Vicky persuades Vidya to film their suhaagraat, but when the CD gets stolen, their lives are thrown into chaos.
What follows is a wild comedic adventure as the couple embarks on a frantic search to retrieve the intimate video, bringing mayhem to their small town.
Rajkummar Rao shared the trailer on his Instagram handle and captioned it, "Deviyon aur sajjanon... Tapmaan badhne wala hai kyun ki the trailer of the biggest family film of the year is here. #VickyVidyaKaWohWalaVideo Trailer out now! (Link in bio) In Cinemas on 11th October."

A major surprise in the trailer is Mallika Sherawat’s return to Hindi cinema. Best known for films like Murder and Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Mallika plays a pivotal role as a member of Vicky’s family. Her character’s introduction, with Vijay Raaz's character swooning over her, evokes memories of her iconic role in Welcome. Her appearance had been kept a secret, heightening the impact of her surprise return. This marks her comeback after a long break, with her last appearance in RK/RKay in 2022.
Ahead of the trailer launch, Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri teased the film in a quirky video, styled as a 90s news bulletin. In the teaser, they humorously reference their previous roles in Stree and Animal, introducing their characters Vicky and Vidya, while setting the tone for the retro comedy.
