Prajakta Koli's 'she creates change' wins Webby, joins Elite Group including Taylor Swift

Prajakta Koli's impactful documentary series, 'She Creates Change,' has garnered the prestigious People's Voice Award at the 2025 Webby Awards, placing her in the esteemed company of luminaries like Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Selena Gomez, and Jimmy Fallon. This recognition follows her recent wedding celebrations, adding another significant achievement to the multifaceted career of the actress, best-selling author, and digital content creator who commands a following of over 18 million.

The six-part series, a blend of animation and live-action, was thoughtfully curated by Room To Read, a global nonprofit dedicated to education. It has resonated deeply with international audiences due to its compelling narratives and a stellar voice cast that includes Prajakta Koli herself, alongside Freida Pinto, Charithra Chandran, Dilshad Vadsaria, Adhir Kalyan, Amita Suman, Amrita Acharia, and Quyen Ngo.

'She Creates Change' powerfully shares the experiences of six girls from historically marginalized communities spanning Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Vietnam. The series unflinchingly portrays their battles against unique societal challenges, highlighting their remarkable inner strength as they advocate for themselves and their rights. Thematically rich, the episodes delve into critical issues such as climate justice, financial literacy, food insecurity, child marriage, discrimination, menstruation, and sexual harassment.
