Priyamani’s Take
In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Priyamani addressed the unanswered question head-on. She said:
“See, I can give you two answers. One is, ‘Whatever happens in Lonavala, stays in Lonavala.’ The second one would be, ‘Aap Chellam sir se poochiye. Shayad Chellam sir ko pata hoga (Ask Chellam sir, maybe he knows the answer). Because Chellam sir knows everything. So, whichever you want to pick, you can pick.”
Her tongue-in-cheek response only fueled curiosity further, but it also showed how the mystery has become part of the show’s enduring legacy. Chellam sir, played by Uday Mahesh, is a character celebrated for always having the answers, making Priyamani’s playful deflection even more fitting.
Sharad Kelkar admitted that neither she nor the creators, Raj and DK, expected the Lonavala subplot to explode in such a way. “We thought people would talk about the terrorists and the missions Srikant takes on. But never in our minds we thought that Lonavala ka discussion itna bada ho jayega. I think it’s as big or even bigger than ‘Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?’” she said.
She also revealed that she still receives countless messages from fans demanding clarity. Most of them ask her two things: to finally disclose the Lonavala secret, and to explain what Suchi was about to confess to Srikant in the season’s closing moments.

Sharad Kelkar’s Perspective
Sharad Kelkar, who plays Arvind, echoed similar sentiments in an interview with MensXP. “Let’s talk about the entire Lonavala business. Did you expect that the incident would become such a big thing among fans and the internet? We knew it was an important track in the series and that it was connected to one of the leading tracks of the show, but no one had anticipated that this would blow up to this proportion,” he said.
A Mystery That Lives On
What this really means is that the Lonavala subplot has transcended its role as a side story. It has become a cultural phenomenon, sparking the same kind of speculation usually reserved for blockbuster cliffhangers. Raj and DK have so far kept the suspense alive, refusing to offer closure, and Priyamani’s cheeky answers ensure that the mystery remains intact.
