Adrien Brody, who won the Best Actor award for his performance in The Brutalist, captivated the audience with his heartfelt speech at the 97th Academy Awards. In the speech he expressed gratitude to his partner, Georgina Chapman. However, the actor later received backlash after a shocking video from the ceremony got viral on social media.

In the video widely shared on X, Adrien can be seen tossing chewed gum at his girlfriend, Georgina, moments before accepting the award. The actor was heading towards the stage to accept the award when he suddenly realized that he had chewing gum in his mouth.

However, Adrien paused on the stage and tossed the gum towards his girlfriend. Surprisingly, Georgina managed to catch it up. The video of the moment is swirling around the video with the viewers slamming the actor for his behaviour.

An X user tweeted, “Not Adrien Brody taking out the gum he was chewing and throwing it to his wife. (And she caught it??!?).” Another person added, “Who the fu** is Adrien Brody? Wow. Threw his gum at his girl friend? Holy ****. And then talked forever saying nothing and cut the orchestra off twice!
