Last year the Congress leader courted controversy after he claimed that his wife, Navjot Kaur, fought back Stage 4 breast cancer in just 40 days through a simple dietary and lifestyle regimen.
Sidhu, in his address to the media, claimed that neem leaves, turmeric, apple cider vinegar, lemon vinegar, and intermittent fasting can cure cancer.
He further asserted that by depriving the body of food, cancer cells naturally begin to die off.
And after his claims, the medical community and public health advocates sought clarification from the former cricketer. It was then that Sidhu issued a clarification, stating that his wife's fight against cancer involved surgeries, chemotherapy, hormonal and targeted therapy, and a strict diet plan.
