Director Vivek Athreya’s latest film, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, starring Nani and SJ Suryah, has had an impressive start at the box office.

The film, which hit theatres on August 29, has managed to earn over Rs 25 crore globally on its first day, showcasing its strong appeal among audiences.

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram marks the second collaboration between Nani and Vivek Athreya, following the success of their previous venture, Ante Sundaraniki. The film, a mass entertainer with a blend of action and drama, has received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, setting the stage for a successful run in theatres.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala shared on X (formerly Twitter) that the film’s worldwide earnings on its opening day crossed Rs 25 crore. However, it did not surpass the first-day collections of Nani’s earlier blockbuster, Dasara, which garnered Rs 38 crore globally.

According to tracking website Sacnilk, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram earned approximately Rs 9 crore nett in India on its first day, with the Telugu version contributing Rs 8.75 crore of this total. The Telugu version also recorded an impressive occupancy rate of 53.54% on Thursday, August 29, indicating strong audience interest.
