Marathi superhit film Sairat to re-release in theatres on THIS date

The 2016 Marathi blockbuster Sairat, a romantic drama tragedy starring Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar, became a nationwide sensation upon its release. To the delight of fans, the critically acclaimed film, directed by Nagraj Manjule, is set to make a grand return to the big screen.

The makers of Sairat confirmed on March 10 that the film will be re-released in theatres on March 21, 2025, offering audiences a chance to relive its powerful storytelling and timeless music once again.

Production banner Zee Studios shared the news of the film’s re-release on Monday in their latest post on X. Along with a poster of the film, the caption of the post read, "Iss zingaat jodi ke saath aap phir se #Sairat hone taiyyar hain? Re-releasing in cinemas on 21st March."

Sairat tells the poignant love story of Archie (Rinku Rajguru) and Parshya (Akash Thosar), two college students from different castes whose romance ignites deep-seated familial and societal conflicts.

Despite being made on a modest budget of Rs 4 crore, the film shattered records at the box office, amassing an impressive Rs 110 crore worldwide. In India alone, it crossed the Rs 100 crore mark, solidifying its status as the highest-grossing Marathi film of all time.
