Netflix’s beloved on-screen couple from When Life Gives You Tangerines, Park Bo Gum and IU, reunited on the August 1 episode of the music talk show The Seasons: Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile.
When IU made an unexpected appearance, Park Bo Gum became visibly emotional and even started crying. Their warm chemistry lit up the screen once more.
In their open and funny conversation, IU made fun of Bo Gum's perfect appearance by joking that "the worlds of dermatology, comedy, and magic are nervous."
In response, Bo Gum laughed and joked, “I heard that too. People say looking at my face is like getting a facelift.”
Bo Gum, who is well-known for having flawless skin and a natural appearance without the need for cosmetic surgery, used the occasion to share his unusual beauty secret. He acknowledged that he abstained from food and liquids the day before filming in order to avoid any breakouts and look his best on camera.
“I really appreciate that people smile when they see my face,” he said, smiling. “So every week before the shoot, I’d skip food completely just to keep the pimples away.” IU, clearly surprised, asked, “Even you, Bo Gum?” He went on to add that drinking less water helped him feel more energetic on shoot days. “If I drink a lot of water and stay hydrated, I look fabulous during Cantabile recordings,” he added with his usual charm.
With a star-studded finale titled "Friday Nights with Bo-gum," KBS2's The Seasons: Park Bo Gum's Cantabile concluded its five-month run.

Alongside musical actors Kim Tae-han, Yoon Gong-ju, and Na Ha-na, the final episode showcased exceptional performances by well-known artists such as Kim Bum-soo, Zion.T, and IU herself.
As an emotional touch, the finale also included a surprise video letter from BTS’ V and IU. But just when the audience thought the tributes had ended, IU kept her earlier promise and appeared in person, holding a bouquet for Bo Gum — adding a perfect emotional crescendo to the season finale.
