Lee Si Young has welcomed her second child, a baby girl, and the moment has been both emotional and deeply personal for the South Korean actor. She shared the news on November 5 through an Instagram post that featured her holding her newborn. The room looked like a medical care setting, with monitoring equipment visible, signaling the baby may be under careful observation. Despite the circumstances, the tone of her message was filled with warmth, relief, and gratitude.

She wrote that she considers her daughter a gift from God and promised to raise both of her children with happiness and care. The baby has been given a nickname, Shik Shik-ie, which loosely implies strength. In her caption, she thanked Professor Won Hye Seong, the doctor involved in her treatment, and mentioned that she would never forget the support and kindness she received through this journey.

The road to this birth was not simple. Lee Si Young had announced earlier this year that she and her husband, a restaurant businessman nine years older than her, had divorced. The two married in 2017 and share a son together. After their separation, Lee faced a decision that many would find emotionally complicated: what to do with the frozen embryo the couple had created earlier. Instead of discarding it, she chose to go ahead with the pregnancy through IVF.
