South Korean actor Song Kang, best known for his roles in Nevertheless, My Demon, and Sweet Home, is reportedly gearing up for a new project following his military discharge on October 1, 2025.
According to recent report by SPOTV News, the actor is in talks to star in the upcoming drama Four Hands, which is about young musicians at an arts high school. The classical piano technique, in which two musicians play together on a single piano to represent cooperation and emotional harmony, serves as the inspiration for the title.
On April 2, 2024, Song Kang started his mandatory military service as an active-duty soldier. Four Hands is a youth-oriented series that combines themes of music, self-discovery, and emotional development.
The story, which spans both adolescence and adulthood, explores the entwined lives of aspiring musicians as they pursue their artistic goals while navigating personal struggles, intense rivalries, and first loves. The narrative seeks to demonstrate how music gradually and significantly affects their relationships and identities.
If confirmed, Song Kang will play a piano prodigy with a complex emotional depth hidden behind a calm and collected exterior. The part, which was described as a character with both delicate and intense intensity, would give Song Kang the opportunity to give a more nuanced and mature performance, his first since a lengthy hiatus from the screen because of military obligations.
Industry insiders indicate that serious talks with Song Kang will resume once he returns to civilian life, despite the fact that his agency has not yet confirmed his involvement. Many people believe that the project will be his dramatic post-discharge comeback.
