By embracing one of her most famous films, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, Janhvi Kapoor is honouring her late mother, the renowned Sridevi, and soaking up nostalgia.
The 1990 Telugu fantasy film, which starred Sridevi opposite megastar Chiranjeevi, served as the inspiration for the actress' custom denim jacket, which she recently displayed on Instagram.
In her post, Janhvi shared a series of photographs donning the bespoke jacket, accompanied by a heartfelt caption expressing her deep admiration for the film and its magic.
“Obsessed with this jacket!!!! Obsessssssssed with this movie!!!! I had the pleasure of rewatching the rereleased print a couple days back and was reminded of the magic created by the whole team Mumma is like an angel fairy princess and so funny and so cute,” she wrote.
She didn’t stop at just praising her mother. Janhvi extended her appreciation to the entire team behind the film, particularly Chiranjeevi. “chiranjeevikonidela sir and his inimitable humour, bravado and swagger and both of them together Raghavendra sirs vision Amrish Puri sir the music, sets, costumes, story!!! Fans eager to experience the cinematic magic of Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari were thrilled when the digitally remastered version of the film recently returned to theatres. Many people consider Sridevi's performance to be among her most cherished, so Janhvi's emotional attachment to the re-release struck a chord.
Regarding her career, Janhvi Kapoor keeps expanding her range of films. Her upcoming projects include Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari opposite Varun Dhawan, Param Sundari with Sidharth Malhotra, and Homebound with Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa.
