Fans can anticipate an exciting cricket match as well as a memorable closing ceremony as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) get ready to play Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the highly anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has organised a special tribute to honour the Indian Armed Forces, acknowledging their heroic efforts during Operation Sindoor, so this year's event is sure to be especially moving.

Determination and skill have been hallmarks of RCB's run to the final. The Bengaluru-based team is keen to finally win the coveted title after making it to the final three times before, in 2009, 2011, and 2016, but losing each time.

In contrast, PBKS has been less active in the latter stages; their only appearance dates back to 2014, when they were still known as Kings XI Punjab. The Kolkata Knight Riders defeated them that time. After defeating Punjab Kings by eight wickets in Qualifier 1, RCB earned their spot in the final early this year by finishing second in the league table with 19 points from 14 games.
