Nani’s latest outing, HIT: The Third Case, has delivered a smashing performance at the box office, raking in Rs 15.69 crore on its opening day across India. Released on May 1, 2025, this third installment in the popular crime-thriller franchise has not only matched expectations but exceeded them with a robust opening. Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, the Telugu psychological thriller has found favor with audiences thanks to its gripping storyline and Nani’s intense performance.

The film opened to stellar occupancy rates in Telugu-speaking regions, particularly Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Theatres across these states reported near-housefull shows by the afternoon. According to reports, occupancy for morning shows was 90.87%, afternoon shows surged to 92.37%, and evening shows maintained a strong 91.52%.

HIT 3 has also managed to outperform its predecessor, HIT: The Second Case, which had collected Rs 6.4 crore on Day 1. The latest installment’s significant jump in collections is a clear sign of the franchise’s growing popularity and Nani’s rising box office appeal.

Internationally, the film made a remarkable impact as well. In the United States, the movie earned over $415,000 through premiere shows, making it the second-highest grossing Telugu opener in the US for 2025, only behind Game Changer starring Ram Charan.
