From The Nun to The Devil Made Me Do It: The Conjuring Universe in chronological order

The Nun (2018)
Set in 1952 Romania, this film explores the origins of the demon Valak. Annabelle: Creation (2017) – A prequel to Annabelle, set in 1955, showing how the possessed doll came to be.

The Nun II (2023)
Set in 1956 France, but narratively connects back to The Conjuring 2 and Valak’s storyline, so it can be placed after The Devil Made Me Do It as a continuation of Valak’s arc.

Annabelle (2014)
Set in late 1967, following the haunted doll terrorizing a young couple. John and Mia Form fall victim to an attack by members of a satanic cult, who turn their old doll into a conduit for evil, unleashing horrors that make the couple’s life a nightmare.

The Conjuring (2013)
