A few days ago there were reports that Kartik Aaryan is going to be seen as the new age Prem in director Sooraj Barjatya's 'Prem Ki Shaadi'. In an exclusive conversation with moneycontrol, Kartik said he doesn't know where it has come from.
When asked that there were reports of him playing the role of Prem in Sooraj Barjatya directed 'Prem Ki Shaadi', Kartik said "I don't know woh kahan se aya but I don't want to comment on it only."
The actor was in Delhi for the promotions of his upcoming movie 'Chandu Champion.'
There were reports that Kartik is in talks with Sooraj Barjatya for the role of Prem in his next film.
Director Sooraj Barjatya gave cinema lovers the quintessential Prem played by Salman Khan in many of his films, including 'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Hum Aapke Hai Koun!,' and 'Hum Saath Saath Hain,' to name a few.
There were reports that it was after Sooraj's conversation with Salman Khan to work in 'Prem Ki Shaadi' fizzled out that he thought of approaching Kartik.
Sooraj Barjatya is going to soon start working on the cast for his next venture, a drama on nuclear families, which are the norm right now.
Sooraj Barjatya's last film, 'Uunchai', was the story of four aging friends who desire to go on a trek to Mt. Everest base camp. It was led by Amitabh Bachchan, and joining him were Anupam Kher, Danny Denzongapa, Sarika, and Boman Irani. The movie was a surprise hit and was loved by many senior citizens as well.
Kartik 's next film a sports biopic 'Chandu Champion', is slated to release on June 14.
Kartik is also shooting for 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' which is slated to release on Diwali.
