The Mumbai Police's closure report in the Disha Salian death case concluded it was a suicide, stating that she had been battling depression due to multiple reasons, including alleged financial misuse by her father, according to an official.

Disha Salian, who was formerly the manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, allegedly took her own life by jumping from the 12th floor of her residential building in Jankalyan Nagar, Malad, North Mumbai, on June 8, 2020. The Malvani police, which investigated the case, submitted its closure report as part of an accidental death investigation to a superior officer on February 4, 2021, as per procedural requirements, reported PTI.

According to an official statement on Friday, the Malvani police, during their investigation, recorded testimonies from Disha Salian’s friends and witnesses. These statements revealed that she was struggling with depression due to several factors, including failed projects, misunderstandings with friends, and alleged financial misuse by her father.

Additionally, the police also took statements from actors with whom Disha had been in communication on behalf of her company, furthering their probe into the circumstances leading to her tragic demise.
