Instead of a grand bash, Deepika and Ranveer celebrated it in an intimate manner. Deepika herself baked a chocolate cake for her little girl.
For fans, it offered a rare glimpse into the closely guarded personal life of Deepika and Ranveer, who have kept Dua away from the public eye since her birth last year.

Deepika makes sure to not carry Dua while the cameras are on and always shields her in public as well.
Deepika has previously spoken about her protective instincts as a mother. She has said that she doesn’t plan on revealing Dua’s face anytime soon. “I don’t know how much of this Ranveer will be okay with, but I don’t think I want to put her out there,” she once said in an interview.
The couple’s stance echoes that of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s decision to keep their kids Vamika and Akaay out of the media spotlight.
