BTS’ Jungkook, who is currently on a military break, recently reunited with his close friend and SEVENTEEN member Mingyu. The duo, known for their strong friendship, was spotted enjoying a casual dinner at a BBQ restaurant in Itaewon, Seoul.

A viral photo shared by a fan page captured the two idols at the restaurant, with Jungkook seen savouring his meal while seated next to Mingyu. Several bottles of beverages could be seen on their table. Jungkook sported a black hoodie and cap, keeping his look minimal, while Mingyu opted for a classic white shirt.

The caption read, “JUNGKOOK & MINGYU known as Gyukook spotted again together having dinner in Itaewon.” Fans of both stars flooded the post with excitement, celebrating their cherished friendship.

For those unfamiliar, Jungkook and Mingyu are part of the famous '97-liners' squad— a group of K-pop idols born in 1997. The squad includes SEVENTEEN’s DK and The8, GOT7’s BamBam and Yugyeom, ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo, Stray Kids’ Bang Chan, and NCT’s Jaehyun. Over the years, the group has maintained a close bond, occasionally delighting fans with their reunions.

Jungkook enlisted in the South Korean military in December 2023, beginning his mandatory 18-month service. He is expected to be discharged in June 2025. Meanwhile, Mingyu has yet to announce his own enlistment date.
