The Marathi and Hindi entertainment industries have been left in deep shock after the sudden death of young actor Sachin Chandwade, who was just 25 years old. Known for his appearances in web series such as Jamtara 2 and Asurvan, Sachin was also a talented software engineer working in Pune. His untimely death has sparked grief across Maharashtra and beyond.
Early Life and Background
Sachin Chandwade belonged to the small village of Undirkhede in the Parola taluka of Jalgaon district.
From a very young age, he had a strong love for acting. Despite choosing a professional career in software engineering, his passion for performing arts never faded.
After completing his education, Sachin took up a job as a software engineer at a reputed IT park in Pune. Yet, even while working full-time, he continued to pursue acting projects on the side.
Friends and colleagues describe Sachin as a polite, hardworking, and multi-talented young man who managed to balance both careers with remarkable discipline. His colleagues often spoke about how he would finish his work at the office and then head straight to acting rehearsals or auditions.
Acting Career and Upcoming Projects
Sachin had already started making a mark in the film and OTT space. He appeared in the popular Netflix-associated web series Jamtara 2, and also had a role in the Marathi web show Asurvan, which was set to release soon. Reports say that he had completed shooting for the film Vishay Close as well.
Just five days before his death, Sachin had shared an emotional Instagram post expressing excitement about his upcoming projects. He mentioned how grateful he felt to be part of Asurvan and Jamtara 2, and thanked his followers for their constant support. Friends recall that he seemed happy and hopeful about his future in cinema.

The Tragic Incident
According to reports, the incident occurred on October 23, 2025, at Sachin’s residence in Pune. Around 2:30 pm, he was found hanging in a room on the upper floor of his house. Family members discovered him and immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment. When his condition worsened, he was transferred to another hospital for advanced care, but despite doctors’ efforts, he passed away on the night of October 24 around 1:30 am.
Police have registered the case as an accidental death for now, while investigations continue to determine the exact cause. No suicide note was found, and his family is said to be cooperating with authorities to understand what led to the tragedy.

News of Sachin’s death spread quickly across social media. Fans, friends, and fellow artists flooded platforms with tributes, remembering him as a warm, enthusiastic, and passionate individual. In his hometown Undirkhede, the atmosphere turned somber as people gathered to pay their respects. Locals described him as the pride of the village — a boy who dared to dream beyond boundaries and represent them on big screens.
He was also deeply involved in cultural and festive activities. During Ganesh Chaturthi and other celebrations, Sachin would actively participate in dhol-tasha performances (traditional drum ensembles) and share photos with friends and artists from the Marathi film fraternity.
