Akshay Kumar confesses he got trolled for asking PM Modi 'Aap Aam kaise khate ho', asks CM Devendra Fadnavis about oranges, says, "Main Sudhrunga nahi"

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is back doing what he does best, mixing charm with curiosity. Six years after his viral interview with Prime Minister Narendra Modi where he famously asked, “Aap aam kaise khate hain?”, Akshay revisited that iconic moment, this time swapping mangoes for oranges and the Prime Minister for Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The exchange took place at the FICCI FRAMES 2025 event in Mumbai on Tuesday, where Akshay took the stage to interview the Chief Minister. With his trademark humour, he opened the conversation by acknowledging the déjà vu.

“It is a lovely day… 25 years of FICCI… Humare saath humare Chief Minister sahab hain. Aaj mujhe mauka mila hai… yeh zindagi mein mera second time hai jo main kissi ka interview le raha hun… Pehli baar mujhe mauka mila tha Pradhan Mantri ji ka interview lene ka. Aur ab humare Chief Minister sahab ka interview lene ka mauka mila hai,” Akshay said, grinning as the audience laughed and applauded.

Then came the callback everyone was waiting for. “Sir, maine unse ek question kiya tha Pradhan Mantri sahab se ke aap aam kaise khate hain, toh logon ne mazak udaya tha,” he said, pausing for effect, before adding, “Lekin sir, main nahi sudhrunga.”

The room erupted in laughter as Akshay asked his new question: “Aap Nagpur se hain aur Nagpur is famous for its oranges. Main yeh puchna chahta hun ke aapko oranges acche lagte hain?”
