The eighth season of Bigg Boss Tamil, hosted by Vijay Sethupathi, has concluded with a grand finale on January 19. Muthukumaran emerged as the winner, taking home the coveted trophy and a cash prize of Rs 41 lakh. Soundariya was named the first runner-up, while VJ Vishal secured third place.
Muthukumaran had been one of the top contestants since the beginning of the show and maintained his strong performance throughout the season. The finale began at 6 pm and lasted until 11 pm, where the final two contestants, Muthukumaran and Soundariya, waited for the results. Vijay Sethupathi raised Muthukumaran's hand to announce him as the winner, presenting him with the Bigg Boss Tamil 8 trophy and a cheque for Rs 40.5 lakh. In addition, Muthukumaran had earned Rs 50,000 from the 'Money Box' task, bringing his total prize amount to Rs 41 lakh.
Soundariya, despite not winning, gracefully accepted her position as the first runner-up. VJ Vishal, Pavithra Janani, and Rayan took the third, fourth, and fifth spots, respectively.

In the 'Money Box' task held last week, each contestant had the chance to choose a box containing cash. Rayan and Pavithra chose Rs 2 lakh boxes, while VJ Vishal picked a box worth Rs 5 lakh. Soundariya entered the house without selecting a box, meaning she did not win any additional money in this task and went home without a cash prize.
The successful season has left fans excited, and the organizers of Bigg Boss Tamil have announced that they will return with Season 9, promising more drama and entertainment.
