Former Bigg Boss 16 contestant and Tajikistani singer Abdu Rozik recently made headlines with reports of him getting arrested at Dubai airport on Saturday after being accused of theft.
However, Abdu’s agency has now issued a clarification slamming the arrest reports. His agency has recently clarified that Abdu was briefly held for questioning by police in Dubai.
Abdu Rozik’s agency, S-Line Project, told The Khaleej Times, “First of all, he is not arrested; he was only detained by the police. Abdu Rozik gave his explanations and was released. Today, he will participate in the award ceremony, which will be held in Dubai.”
The agency added in the statement, “Secondly, information in the media is not correct. We will take all legal action to protect Abdu Rozik and his image. Also, we will provide you with all the information later on to inform the Indian people. Believe us, we have a lot to say regarding this issue.”
Previously, Adbu avoided directly addressing the arrest reports at the red carpet of the IIIA Awards in Dubai, which took place on July 12, the same day the news about his arrest surfaced. However, he assured everyone that he was doing fine.
While talking to the press, he said, “I want to say to everyone, I love Dubai, and I am here with all of you. God is always with the right person. I am fine; everything is good. Lots of love and thank you so much for supporting me.”
He also teased his upcoming projects and said, "So many things are coming up, you guys need to follow me and watch."
