On Monday, May 5, Tollywood producer and Allu Arjun's father, Allu Aravind, paid a heartfelt visit to young Sri Tej to enquire about his continued recuperation from the tragic stampede that took place during the Hyderabad premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rise last year.
The tragic event happened on December 4, 2024, at the Sandhya Theatre on RTC X Roads. At that time, large crowds had gathered to see Allu Arjun, who had come with his family to see his film, Pushpa.
During his visit to the rehab centre, Aravind spoke with the attending doctors and offered words of support. “Our entire family is waiting for Sri Tej to recover. It is very heartening to see that Sri Tej is recovering day by day. I hope that soon Sri Tej will be like a normal child among all of us,” he said in a statement.
Aravind was joined on the visit by producer Bunny Vas. Since the incident, both producers have been keeping a careful eye on Sri Tej's development. In the past, Aravind and the Pushpa 2 team contributed ₹2 crore to pay for medical bills.

Along with director Sukumar and producers Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers, actor Allu Arjun has stayed actively involved, providing the bereaved family with both emotional and financial support. Beyond the recuperation phase, Arjun has personally pledged to help Sri Tej and his sister, making sure they are taken care of both now and in the future.
Tragically, Sri Tej's mother, Revathi, died in the ensuing chaos, and the young boy and his sister were hurt.
Since then, Sri Tej has been under intensive medical care. Initially treated in critical condition at KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad, he was later moved to a rehabilitation centre for physiotherapy and further treatment. Doctors eventually advised his family to continue his recovery at home due to the high risk of infections at the hospital.
