Akshay Kumar protectively steps in as paps try to click daughter Nitara's pics: Watch

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar was recently seen at the Mumbai airport along with his wife Twinkle Khanna and their daughter Nitara Bhatia as the family prepared to leave for a vacation.

Many photos and videos of the three of them went viral on social media, highlighting a touching instance in which Akshay was seen defending his daughter from the paparazzi.

One of the videos that a paparazzo posted online showed Akshay getting out of his car first, then Nitara and Twinkle. Twinkle was heard calmly telling Nitara to move to the other side for safety as photographers hurried around them to take pictures. Following that, Twinkle and Akshay both took a quick photo op.

Akshay intervened right away when one of the photographers tried to approach Nitara with his camera. Clearly making a non-aggressive protective gesture, he put his hand gently around the paparazzo's neck and pulled him back. Remarkably, Twinkle seemed to hold back a smile throughout the conversation. The situation was defused when Akshay smiled in response to the paparazzo's prompt apology.

After that, Twinkle led Nitara away in the direction of the terminal by taking her hand. When another photographer asked for a picture, Akshay stopped before going into the airport and graciously complied. As he bid the media farewell, he also waved amiably.
