The Baramati Lok Sabha constituency, nestled in the Pune district of Maharashtra, is a bastion of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Renowned as the largest stronghold of the NCP, this constituency has remained under the sway of the Pawar family for the past 27 years. It comprises six Assembly seats - Indapur, Baramati, Purandar, Bhor, Khadakwasla, and Daund - the Baramati parliamentary constituency encapsulates a diverse array of regions and communities.

NCP President Sharad Pawar, represented the Baramati Lok Sabha seat for an impressive five consecutive terms. His daughter, Supriya Sule, has followed in his footsteps, serving as a Member of Parliament for three terms. Additionally, his nephew, Ajit Pawar, has also held the position once.
