Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched an attack on Narendra Modi-led Central government and said that electoral bonds scheme was the "world's biggest scam" and also alleged that PM Modi has kept "his people" in the election commission.
Rahul Gandhi also alleged that nearly 30 farmers were committing suicides in India every day and claimed that PM Modi has waived loans to the tune of Rs 16 lakh crore of the rich, while not even one rupee of farmers' loans was waived. He also alleged that after Modi's government assumed office, crores of people became poor in the country.
"The Modi government has waived Rs 16,000 crore for the rich people but has not waived even a single rupee of the farmers. That is why, in 'Kisan Nyay', we will waive off the loans of the farmers and will guarantee the MSP as per the Swaminathan formula," Rahul Gandhi said.
Highlighting the five 'Nyays' (justice) mentioned in the Congress manifesto, Rahul Gandhi said that through 'Kisan Nyay', farm loans will be waived and legal guarantee will be given for MSP, if they were voted to power at the Centre. He said that their manifesto reflects the voice of Indians. Rahul Gandhi also said the Congress is fulfilling its poll guarantees made to Telangana people.
On the party's manifesto, the Congress MP said, "Whatever there was in the people's mind is there in the party's manifesto. In every sector, we will give apprenticeship of Rs 1 lakh to the youths. If one will see the manifesto there are several things for the youths."
