BJP's Bidhuri set to win against AAP's Sahi Ram in South Delhi

BJP’s Ramvir Singh replaces two-time winner Ramesh Bidhuri who in 2019 maintained his strong hold over the South Delhi seat, defeating AAP's Raghav Chadha by a significant margin of 3,67,043 votes (30.23 percent). Bidhuri secured 6,87,014 votes, while Chadha garnered 3,19,971 votes.

BJP’s Ramvir Singh Bidhuri is set to win in the South Delhi constituency as per trends at 17:38 pm. He is ahead of AAP's Sahi Ram by over one lakh votes.

Voting took place on May 25 in the South Delhi constituency during the sixth phase of the seven-phase general election. AAP’s candidate was expected to pose a significant challenge for the BJP here.

For the 2024 polls, a tough contest was expected between BJP’s Ramvir Singh Bidhuri and AAP’s Sahi Ram for this seat. Interestingly, both of them are currently Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) with Bidhuri representing Badarpur and Ram representing Tughlakabad.

While, Bidhuri has garnered close to 7 lakh votes so far, Ram has received around 5 lakh 63 thousand votes.
