BJP-JDS' Dr CN Manjunath won with over 2.69 lakh votes while Congress' DK Suresh lost, as per Election Commission of India (ECI).

Ambition of DK Shivakumar of becoming chief minister of Karnataka takes a hit as his brother Suresh trailed in the Bengaluru Rural constituency.

Polling took place in the Bengaluru Rural constituency on April 26 in the second round of the seven-phase general elections.

Bengaluru Rural, the constituency in the heart of the Karnataka’s agricultural hub had witnessed a high-profile poll battle between the DK brothers and the Deve Gowda family.
