The Maharashtra Right to Education (RTE) admissions lottery results will be announced today, February 10. Parents who applied under the 25% reservation quota for economically weaker and disadvantaged groups will receive SMS notifications on their registered mobile numbers.
As per the data, in Pune district alone, 61,687 applications were received for 18,507 available seats across 960 schools. The RTE admission process, overseen by the Directorate of Primary Education, provides free admission to private schools for eligible students. The state government reimburses the schools for the fees of these students.
Across Maharashtra, 1,09,111 seats are available in 8,863 schools this year. The application process was conducted in two phases, the first from January 14 to 27 and the second from January 27 to February 2. The lottery was held as scheduled on February 10th, with no extensions. The admission process is expected to begin around February 15.
Statewide, 3,05,161 students applied for RTE admissions, according to data from the RTE website.
