CBSE partners with ISTM to launch trainers certification course

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has a has signed an memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM) under the Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, for conducting a 2-days Training of Trainers (ToT) certification course.

This is in line with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 which stipulates mandatory 50 hours of continuous professional development for all teachers/head teachers.

The ISTM is known for its expertise in imparting core training skills which involves Direct Trainers Skil(DTS) and Design of Training (DoT). This course has been designed amalgamating the core components of the DTS and DoT and the Integrated Approaches to Child & Adolescent Development, CBSE said in a statement.

To realize thes vision to make India a developed nation by 2047 and to improve the quality of education, the CBSE said it has taken up this initiative which would go a long way in achieving training standards. Under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, CBSE is targeting to train nearly 15,000 Resource Persons (RPs) in several batches. Board will be catering to the training needs of 13 lakhs teachers in its affiliated schools through this trained pool of resource persons.
