CBSE Board Exam 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced it will provide free psycho-social counseling services to Class X and XII students to help them manage exam-related stress. This initiative, which has been running for over 25 years, will be offered in two phases: before and during the exams, and after the results are declared.
Counseling services will begin on February 1st, 2025, and continue until April 4th, 2025, coinciding with the lead-up to the board exams scheduled to start on February 15th, 2025.
CBSE is offering a multi-faceted approach to student support:
- 24/7 Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS): A toll-free number (1800-11-8004) will provide round-the-clock access to tips on stress management, time management, FAQs, and CBSE contact information in both Hindi and English.
- Tele-Counseling Services: A team of 66 trained professionals, including principals, counselors, special educators, and psychologists, will be available for one-on-one sessions from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Saturday. Counselors will be based in India, with some connecting from Nepal, Japan, Qatar, Oman, and the UAE.
- Podcast/Audio-Visual Content: Bilingual resources covering stress management, preparation strategies, and mental well-being will be available on the CBSE website (https://www.cbse.gov.in).
The CBSE encourages students and parents to utilize these resources to ensure a stress-free and confident approach to the upcoming examinations.
